Default ZCO stops syncing

I've noticed this on several machines, with both 5.02 builds of the ZCO that I have tried, that at random times, Outlook 2007 will stop sending and receiving emails, even if it says it successfully sent and received. Since I have not seen a similar bug in the bugzilla, I wouldn't be surprised if this still occurred in 5.03. This is a very serious issue since users think they are not receiving email when they are. I will get logs the next time I run across the problem.

The following errors seem to coincide:

Zimbra::Store::ZimbraMessage::GetProps. dumping prop values retrieved for this message:
Named Property (4 Char String) PT_ERROR MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND

Going to look at the logs more before I submit anything.

You don't need to reboot... just open outlook 2007 after the OUTLOOK.EXE process finishes running.

I thought I was going insane because I couldn't find any other posts on this issue.

I don't know what you mean by that.
If i just close outlook 2007 and open it again, there is no sync.
it has to be a bug

got it
kill the proces outlook.exe in the task manager and open outlook 2007 again
indeed...it's working ...
nevertheless ..it's a problem.
Could it be because i use a 64bit system ? Or is this a stupid remark ?

You don't need to kill the process. OUTLOOK.EXE should end on its own after a minute or so, depending on the workstation.

but you are correct, it is a problem... a quite big one since it basically makes the ZCO useless... since people think that everything is working fine and dandy but, really, they can't see emails that clients are sending us, until they have to reboot, and voila they have 20 angry customers on their hands.

Cool Outlook shutdown

It's true that it takes Outlook a little while to shut down. One thing not to do is close it and then reopen it immediately. That being said, in some cases, like if there is a memory leak after some operation, then Outlook really won't shut down, and you have to go into the Task manager and kill it.

A couple of hints to see if you may be in this situation:

1) You have Outlook set to prompt you for a profile, but when you enter Outlook, it goes into a given profile without prompting

2) Outlook comes up lightning fast. Just to check, you might want to exit, wait a little, and then look in the task manager to see if it is still running. If it's still running, kill it. Then you'll be good again.

The key is for us to find all the memory leaks and things that cause improper shutdowns. We're working on it :-)

this is correct.
It opens very fast and nothing happens.
Afther killing the outlook.exe in the task manager and open outlook 2007 again..everything works fine ( for a while )
But even when i don't close outlook 2007, just afther a while the sync stops ...
