[SOLVED] Cannot send text email from Outlook

Hi, this would seem straightforward but I cannot find a doc or post to it..

When using Outlook 2003 on Win XP SP2 and Zimbra 5.0.2 and corresponding connector, if I opt to compose in text in my Outlook preferences it does so, but when I receive the email it is in html.

How do I send plain text email from Outlook 2003 using Zimbra connector??

I am having the exact same problem. The Outlook Settings are ignored
an the email is sent out as multipart/alternative

Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0015_01C889BC.AA98D9

Can anyone give hints to send out plain text (ascii) mails from
outlook?

Same problem here with Outlook 2007 on XP and the 5.0.2 OC.

There are 2 bugs open on this:
Bug 9553 - Outlook always sends as HTML
Bug 26150 - Unable to send plain text mail from Outlook

Do you have an estimation by when this bug will be fixed? Sure is only a small thing (when I check the error description from 2006). I do not see any progress in the tickets - even this bug is quite a nasty one for business users who are using Outlook and want to send plain text mails.

This is fixed for me in 5.0.5 when you update the Outlook connector as well.

OS: WinXP, Outlook 2003

Confirmed. And thanks a lot for letting me know. I didn't realize that 5.0.5 is out.
