I have one client with ZCO 5.0.2471.2 that has an incomplete GAL in his Outlook. There are only about 20 contact showing up when he presses To in an e-mail and selecting the GAL. I have some other users, they have no problem.
What could this be?

Have you tried to sync the GAL again ?
As far as I understood, syncing of the gal is done everytime Outlook is started. So yes, I did do that. Also, when I enable logging I see lines like:
20-02-2008 11:56:43.265 [1988]: In CResyncGALMenuItem::CResyncGALMenuItem
20-02-2008 11:56:44.62 [872]: SyncSAXHandler::startElement() - other element tag: SyncGalResponse
20-02-2008 11:56:44.62 [872]: SyncSAXHandler::startElement() - processed item type: SyncGalResponse item id: 0
20-02-2008 11:56:44.62 [872]: SyncSAXHandler::endElement() - ignored element tag: SyncGalResponse
I've got clients with this problem as well. Has anyone figured out the solution to this? Is there a bug on it?

zmprov syg DOMAIN
...just spits back a bunch of LDAP data.
Matt
OK...so the 'zmprov syg DOMAIN' should return all entries in my GAL correct? I do not think it does. I ran this...
zmprov syg DOMAIN | grep "name id" | wc -l
...and it returned the number 2048.
There should be a lot more than that. We have around 3500-4000 accounts in Zimbra.
Our GAL syncs to an external LDAP where we have 20-30K accounts. Should the GAL sync be returning that? Or just returning what it finds in Zimbra?
Matt
Does anyone have an answer for this? We're now testing BES with Zimbra and have the exact same problem. I cannot add anyone to BES because I'm not getting a full list of users in the GAL Sync (at least I think that's my problem).
I found a domain setting (zimbraGalSyncLdapPageSize: 1000) and I'm wondering if bumping that would force GAL Sync to get more entries?
