Default Outlook not downloading emails in box full of empty messages

My company just switched to a Zimbra mail server over the weekend I installed the Outlook connector and it was working pretty well until during a 5 hour flight I was able to sort through all the mail in my inbox and file it into the folders that I wanted. This was probably several megs of data. But in the end my inbox was empty. Then the next time I was online and opened Outlook, when Zimbra was done sycnonizing my inbox had several blank messages all dated 12/31/1969 and it did not download any new messages. I am still able to send email but the inbox is not working.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Rich

can you enable zco logging and send yourself a message and then hit "send/receive" or F9. the logs should tell us what is going wrong.

I went through the process but the software does not seem to be generating a log.

are you using the zco log control to enable logging? are you sure that you are looking in the right location? if you have set up your profile and log path correctly, there should be some logs being generated.

Well timing seem to be everything. Although my problem with Outlook 2007 showed up just after switching to Zimbra it turns out that the problem was actually an Outlook issue. I installed the latest update and the emails started downloading correctly to Outlook.

Thanks for the help.

hi rtjonespe
when you said you installed the latest update. did you mean updating your "Office Update" here? http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/do...s/default.aspx
