Default Multiple Outlook Errors

I'm running WinXP SP2 with Outlook 2007 and Outlook Connector 5.0.1_GA_1900_5.0.2450.1 (same server version). Several issues:

  1. After initially setting up Outlook I sync with the web and everything appears to be working fine. However, after I close and restart Outlook my Outlook Address Book is hosed. The 'Contacts' and 'Emailed Contacts' folder are no longer part of the OAB and I cannot re-add them because the option to 'Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book' is unchecked and disabled. Further, with Outlook 2007 you cannot simply remove the OAB and re-add it. This operation is not allowed. The only way I've been able to fix this is by blasting the Zimbra profile, uninstalling the connector, reinstalling the connector and resyncing. Then the Contact folders work properly, but only until I close Outlook again. Then the entire process repeats.
  2. The GAL is not syncing properly. It exists, and is configured properly through the Zimbra Admin, but it never appears in Outlook.
  3. Outlook will not exit gracefully. The OUTLOOK.EXE process hangs and I'm forced to manually kill the process using Task Manager every time I close the application.

Any help would be much obliged

iheffernan,

Please enable ZCO logs and post them or PM me.
And if Outlook hangs on exit you can try to create process dump.
See Creating a Core Dump from a Running Process using WinDbg - Zimbra :: Wiki
how to do that.

The dump and logs are useful to track down your problems.
