Keep my mails on the machine, not in the server

Hi guys, i'm using a zimbra network 5.0 on a red hat 5 and i'm using the outlook connector wich is bounded on zimbra 5.0, the thing is that my client want's to store all the mail on every machine that they had, you know as pst updated everytime you get you mail, but erasing them from the server every time you get the mail, and just keeping on the pst or zdb file, is there a way i can acomplish that? where i should configure to do so? thanks a lot any help

Use outlook archiving to archive the content to a local pst.

I see that archiving on outlook resolve half of the problem, what about the mails i got on zimbra server are them erased ?

I've got the same question. I've archived some of my e-mails thanks to outlook local archiving, but when I'm connecting to the web client, those archived e-mails seem to be deleted from the server.

Can someone confirm that ?

• Account quotas. Users can use Outlook Archiving to save files to their computer to prevent going over their quota limit. Archiving removes the messages from the Zimbra server.

It would be really nice to have a checkbox when archiving to delete mails on server.


But I have another problem with archiving.
When I try to archive Inbox folder from ZDB into another PST Archive database I just get empty folders (no mails??). All mails are still on Zimbra.
When I try to archive Sent folder it goes like it should do.

What's wrong or what did I missed?
