External ics appointment issues

Has anyone else seen that with the 4.5.9 connector that external ics file requests don't seem to be processed correctly?

I have a couple of people saying that a certain customer of ours (on Notes) would send meeting requests in and nothing happened with the message, apparently it previously auto-added to their calendar which seems weird also. To test I tried somebody else from another company using Notes, probably a different version, but his request looked just like an internal meeting with the Accept, etc. buttons in both the web and Outlook. I then came up with this plan that everybody should be able to do. If you send yourself a meeting from a gmail account the web client will properly show you the accept/decline buttons. If you view the message in Outlook it shows you something that looks like the raw text of the attached .ics file.

Does anyone else see this? If not can anyone suggest what might be going on?
