Default Import with Outlook Connector

Hi, Just wanted to post this before digging further.

I have installed the connector to SP2 Outlook 2003 and have successfully connected to Zimbra and syncd fine.

However I wanted to import a csv file containing contacts or Calendar items from an Exchange mailbox that was exported to csv. When I do that either online of offline it gets 2 or 3 items in them reports a std MS error and attempts to restart Outlook.

I get this on each machine I have tried and wondered if this was something to be expected at this stage or whether it warrants further investigation and reporting to you. Haven't seen something posted quite like this but that may be more my searching skills!

Thanks

Kevin

If used, the 'import' function in Outlook may cause Outlook to crash. This is a known issue of the Beta 1 Connector. This is a subset of bug 3616.

Thanks for the report.

BTW: Have you tried the PST import tool? This is what it's for.

Is the PST tool supposed to import calendar data too? it seemed like it imported all the e-mails and contacts, but not any appointments.

I'm using ZCSImportWiz3.0.0_M4_151

The PST Import Wizard doesn't import calendar data. You can import calendar data with Outlook's file Import. Just open the PST for import with Outlook then filter on the calendar folder only. Then when you sync with the server it will push all your new appts up to the server.
