Uninstall issue for ZCB "installer intrerupted"

I am trying to uninstall zcb since I believe I have an incompatible version running.
Every time I try to uninstall it I receive the error " the installer was interrupted before vmware zimbra connector for BES could be removed"

I have stopped the BES controller service thinking maybe that was hanging it up, but was not the case. I have restarted the system a few times hoping that might do the trick.. no luck there either...any ideas what could be causing this?
