Default [SOLVED] Unable to send mail via BB devices

Hi Guys,

We developed a issue overnight with out BES server.

Infrastructure info :

BES Version - BES Express 5.0.2.29
Zimbra Server - Release 6.0.7_GA_2473.RHEL5_64_20100616202447 RHEL5_64 NETWORK edition.

Approximately 50 BES users.

The issue is that no one can send mail from their devices.

Receiving mail to the BB device is fine, instant.

Tested sending from the BES Profile in Outlook on the BES server and receive the same error :

From: System Administrator
Undeliverable : ( Whatever the subject of the sent message was )

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Any ideas?

Hi Guys,

We managed to resolve the issue, we had to pull in Zimbra support ( They were awesome )

The problem was due to the fact that we recently added proxying to our cluster server's, and the BES connector cannot operate behind a Proxy

Related Bug > Bug 33179 – BES and Proxy

We had to turn off proxying on one of the cluster boxes, Move the admin account BES uses to this Box, and configure the plugin to connect to this box directly ( instead of our clustered hostname.hosted.com server name )

Also did a cleanup on the BES server, reinstalled Outlook, updated to SP2, removed and reinstalled BES connector, ensured Outlook set to use GAL for lookups.
