Blackberry- Server Upgrade 5.0.19

Hi everybody,

i setup a Blackberry-Server 4.1SP6 with Outlook 2007 and ZCBBeta3 nearly one year ago.

No Upgrade done until now.

As the Upgrade of the Zimbra get's done the next time, i want to ask the correct way of Upgrading the machine.

when i read the manual correct:

- Stop all Blackberry Services
- Install all Windows and Office Security Upgrades with microsoftsoftupdate (windowsupdate) (without MSIE8)
- restart Server
- Stop again all Blackberry-Services
- Install Blackberry Connector 5.0.19
- restart all Blackberry Services (or Reboot)

done.

does there exist any gotchas?

Hi forum,

just to update:

i upgraded first Ubuntu 6.06 to latest patchset 6.06.2LTS (had troubles with kernel 2.6.15-54 amd64 with arp-request's so i had to go back to kernel 2.6.15-52.)

Afterwards i upgrade Zimbra Network Edition 5.0.8 to 5.0.19.

blackberry controller got stopped (and set the service to disabled)
Office 2007 SP2 got installed and Server rebooted (as besadmin)
ZCB 5.0.19 installed (as besadmin)
completed the steps listed in support-portal for blackberry connector 5.0.18
installed all Windows 2003 microsoft Updates beside IE8 (still IE6 runnin)
aktivated Blackberry Controller and restarted the machine

everything up and running as testing currently show's.
