Addressbook limit

Does anyone know if there's a limit on address book entries?

I have a user who has 2500 contacts on his device and wants to be added on to BES.

Not sure about the BES side (I personally have seen an address book with around 2400 addresses, but it nearly filled the device), but on the Zimbra side there is a limit, but it can be adjusted: Contacts limit??
