Default Calendar Sync Problems

Hello everyone,

Many thanks for all your support in my previous problems with device activation. These problems were fixed after i've replaced Outlook 2007 with Outlook 2003. Device now activate without any issues.

However, there is another issue, which is Calendar sync. The sync only works one way - from Zimbra server to the device. However, if I create a new calendar entry on the device, it is not being copied to the Zimbra server.

I am using 5.0.18 server and BES connector with Outlook 2003 with latest patches.

Did anyone experience similar issues? is there a workaround?

Thanks

I've noticed that the logs have the following entries:

[40267] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} {<email>} Starting calendar rescan
[40136] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} CalICSAgent::GetDirectoryName synch directory retrieved from registry: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents\ICSSync\ for <email>
[10007] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} CalICSSynchronizer::Initialize - OpenProperty failed: (0x80004002)
[20041] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} CalICSAgent::Start Could not Initialize Synchronizer for <email>: (0x80004002)
[30020] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} {<email>} MAPIMailbox:oICS ICS Start failed
[20280] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} {<email>} DoICS() failed: ERR_FAIL
[40701] (08/05 10:50:13.520):{0xD04} {<email>} Calendar rescan completed

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Thanks

I had the same issue. One of the run.dll needs to be repaired.

Hi newtobes,

Is this DLL file part of the BES connector, or some other application? If it is a part of BES connection, simple repair from the setup file should do the job, right?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was using the repair tool from ZCB (sorry I have a bad memory and didn't write it down).

If a Zimbra employee could confirm or provide the instructions it would be helpful as I'm sure others will run into it as well.
