Default ZCB installation on exisiting BES

Hi,
the installation manual of ZCB says that Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 (MAPI/CDO) have to be installed.

Then it says "Although BES lists Exchange 2003 Administration Tools as requirement, Zimbra does not support use of Exchange 2003 Admin Tools. Use MAPI Client an CDO as a replacement for Exchange 2003 admin tools".

O.K. But what I'm not doing a fresh install? BES and Exchange 2000 Admin Tools are already installed. Do I have to remove them? Before or after I install MAPI/CDO?

The manual says Exhange 2003 Admin Tools. I'm using Exchange 2000 Admin Tools. Same here? Or can I use teh Exchange 2000 tools?

Regards,
Bernhard

Default

I tried it out and can answer it myself now:

O the existing bb installation, MAPI/CDO could not be installed. I uninstalled exchange admin tools and installed MAPI/CDO and it worked.

After uninstalling exchange admin tools though, the existing blackberries were not synced any more because the communication between bes and exchange was cut...
