Default BlackBerry - Zimbra

Hello,

could anybody explain me how can I use Blackberry together with Zimbra?
What do I need? Zimbra Network Edition + Zimbra Mobile? Do I need a Black Berry Server?

Regards - Willi

My Blackberry pulls down email and calendaring just fine. We do not have any of the services mentioned in the other post.

Okay, so are you using POP3/IMAP ? Does it support push email ? for this you will need the BES connector.

No, you can use your provider's BIS to get pushed mails.

Using the BES will get you OTA sync (both ways) of mails, contacts and calendar.

There are a couple softwares currently hitting the market that works a different way : you install a special software client on the BB device and it becomes compatible with ActiveSync for Exchange. Thus you do not have to use a BES to get the OTA sync features...
