Default GAL Stopped Working

I've had BES and ZCB working for a couple weeks. I went in to provision another user yesterday and my Global Address List was almost completely empty. There should be (and used to be) almost 3000 users in it.

I went back to the Zimbra server and ran this command...
Code:
zmprov syg domain.com | grep "name id" | wc -l
Which returned 2816, the number of names that should be in the GAL.

Rebooted the BES/ZCB server...still nothing. Tried running the "Update Global Address List" from Outlook....and still nothing. Just one account in the BES GAL.

Help?!

Matt

can you try to make a change to the GAL..i.e. edit a user or add a new user.
then when you open the manager the GAL should sync again.
I don't know why the "Update Global Address List" option doesn't work because this should force a resync of the GAL.

I can try, but we do an External GAL Sync to a different LDAP server (not Zimbra). So do I need to modify the user in the external LDAP, than do a GAL Sync? Or update the account in Zimbra?

So I tried modifying an account in Zimbra. I also modified an account in our external LDAP and then did a GAL resync on the Zimbra server. Nothing.

Are there any other solutions to this?

Kwang are you also running a version prior 5.0.5? http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...html#post62754
This may be Bug 24274 - GAL missing contacts fixed in 5.0.5, which basically stopped the time consuming process of emptying the entire gal if connection on sync failed, but it eventually updated so this might possibly be different if this never syncs anything.

Yes, I'm running 5.0.5. I will upgrade it.
