One BES to multiple Zimbra's?

We currently run two Zimbra instances, one for most of our clients, and one dedicated for a client that wanted a "private" Zimbra install.

If I want to offer BlackBerry support for both types, do I need two BES instances (one for each Zimbra) or can I configure BES to talk to both Zimbras?

If it is a multi-server install you can use 1 BES instance. If it is 2 independent Zimbra installations, you need 2 BES instances.

And can those two BES instances be installed on the same server? Or do I need a completely separate server with a BES on it?

You'll need different machines for this (VMs?). BES won't know how tell its agents resposible for synchronizing data to contact zimbra1 for some users and zimbra2 for others.
