Default [SOLVED] Support for Professional Express?

The current doc states that ZCB supports BES and BES express 4.1. It looks like BES (enterprise) express 4.1 has been discontinued. Will ZCB work with the now available Blackberry Professional Express (BlackBerry - BlackBerry Professional Software Express)?

Thanks!

One more question. I assume you download the Blackberry software for Exchange?

Any of the BES' should work as long as its the one "For Exchange". The "for Exchange" part means its a MAPI client and will work with our ZCB connector.

Default BlackBerry Professional Software Express

this is a new download and from the description it looks like this is the replacement for BES express (and is pretty much the same as far as we are concerned under the hood).

sam is right...as long as it is a BES for Exchange, it should work with ZCB.

It does work, we're running it now in test with a couple of users.

Will the BES Professional Express work with a hosted Zimbra server? Our mail is hosted through a Zimbra provider, and we want to run the BES Pro server on our network.

Thank you!

You should be able to hook the BES to the remote mailbox server from how I understand it. I think the issue will revolve around getting an account that has high enough permissions. The BES server connects as an administrator to the mailbox server and then administratively logs into each mailbox to check for new messages / calendars. Thus you cannot be a 'domain admin' and still complete the task.

Just my two cents!

Cheers,
Dusty
