You've actually given no details of what the problem is nor which version of Zimbra (or virtualization platform) you're using. How about some more details on how you're determining there's a problem?
What do you mean by 'no change in performance'? What do you expect to happen? Do you actually have a 'performance problem'? Have you made any changes to Zimbra to improve it's performance on a 1GB system?
What are the specifications of the host machine? Are there any other VMs on this host? What else is the host machine used for?
hello, sorry for no detail post ...
I'm having Zimbra open source edition 6.0.9 GA Release
installed on a vmware server 2.0 (linux edition) with 3Gb of RAM allocated to this virual machine and 32Gb of disk space.
I have performance problem with administration/web interface (imap/pop access through outlook is OK) and i expect the cause could be java not having enough memory.
The first access to administtation after rebooting is ok, but after closing and opening it one hour later, the interface is stuck (loading in progress - not yet logged). I notice that even is the interface is stuck the load of cpu is low !
When i try to restart zimbra (zmcontrol stop, and zmcontrol stop) i take more than 10 minutes to stop and 10 minutes to start. it is normal ?
After start and stop, no change on web interface access.
When i installed zimbra on 1gb system i did not make any change.
thanks for any ideas.
there is 2 VM on the host (my old email server - ubuntu 8.04 with pop/imao courrier only)
An other point : i'm using firefox 3.6 to connect to administration interface
thanks
try
RajQuote:
su - zimbra
zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent=40
zmlocalconfig -e mysql_memory_percent=30
zmcontrol stop
zmcontrol start

hello raj,
thank you for the workaround about memory increase because it's working perfectly from the 7th of december and admin interface is working great as well as imap/pop services.
i will have a look at your link.

Glad to know its working for you..yeah the cpu fix will help you too.
Happy Holidays
