Default How to setup shared mailboxes

Hello,

we intend to use ZCS in the following environment and would appreciate any feedback
how to setup an environment with shared mailboxes:

- members of a small group should see the mboxes of the other group members
- members of the group should not be allowed to make, rename or delete a folder
(it's likely that those users are using the same password accessing Zimbra)

- the group-leader should be able to hide a mbox or probably better, to see all
mboxes after logging into ZCS with an other/his password.

Can this scenario be realized with ZCS today?

Thank's a lot for your help!

John

Shared mailboxes is comming in v5 (works exactly like you need -view vs manage etc in my v5 beta1 demo box)
Bug 9396 - Delegated (shared) Mailbox/Mail Folders in web client

Going to be a little more work but-for now you could setup forwarding (and filters to sort when received) or get an rss feed of a mail folder...

Make a new folder-check the box to make it a RSS/ATOM folder.

https:// INSERTUSERNAMEHERE:INSERTPASSWORDHERE@server.yourd omain.com/service/user/INSERTUSERNAMEHERE/inbox.rss
or .atom

The second INSERTUSERNAMEHERE can be replaced by just the ~ symbol if you want.

If it doesn't work try http:// instead of https:// (some administrators-for whatever reason, don't enable HTTPS)

If you mess up the url-delete and make a new rss folder-they're working on the ability to modify a url after you make the folder-instead of having to make a new one:
Bug 6283 - RSS folder does not display RSS feed URL

Hi mmorse,

thank's a lot for the informations. Very happy to hear that,
such a feature will soon be available.

When do you expect to be able to work with "Delegated(shared)
Mailbox/Mail Folders" in a pruductive environment?
(since I told a customer that this is possible with Zimbra, it would be
great, if that feature would be available in 1 - 2 month ..)

Thank's!

John
