Double click on email with preview pane visible

When the preview pane is not visible and the user double clicks on an email, that message is opened to full screen.
Is it possible to have this same functionality when the preview pane is visible.

ie. the user is browsing through their email, using the preview pane to preview the contents of each email. they see an email they want to open in full, they double click, they expect the email to open to full screen.

Already solved in my v5 demo.
v5 is also going to allow the preview pane for both convo and message mode, and trees for convo's as well.
