Question About address books and Thunderbird

Hi there,

I have a question about the using of address books and the software Thunderbird.
When you use Thunderbird as an IMAP client, you can see folders that corresponding to the address books. The folders contain VCards... ok it's nice I can see the contacts description and so on...

It's not really usefull to do something with these VCards via Thunderbird... What I want to know if it's possible to have something (mozilla extension...) ton manage easely the VCards from Zimbra...
The problem is that several users perfer to use Thunderbird instead of the Zimbra web interface... For the calendar there is Sunbird and it works fine but for address book I have no idea. So if you have any clue...

please forgive my poor english level

Question

Actually the question is simple, is it possible to manage the csv file (corresponding to one of your address book) from a remote software ? (with the possibility to synchronise etc...)

(little UP !)

I'm really sorry to insist... but I find nothing on this subject...

How do you manage your contacts (synchro and so on...)? Only via the zimbra web interface ? With Outlook ? With something else that could interest me ?
