subscribed to zimbra cals in ical has timezone problem

we are using zimbra 4.5.5 and i'm using ical. i am subscribing to shared calendars with url's like
http://mail/home/triangleroom/Calendar

problem is, i see all the events as 7 hours before they are supposed to be. i am in Phoenix, AZ and we are GMT - 7. it appears as if it considers all these events to be on GMT.

this seems related to
Incorrect meeting times in Apple's iCal
but i think the bug reported in the end of that is not related to my problem.

i have "timezone support" turned on in ical, but it seems to be a problem even if i turn it off.

I created a series of events using zimbra 5 web client and then connected to that calendar via Apple iCal (3.02 on OS 10.5.2) caldav connection. All events are correct in zimbra web client and all events came through to iCal correctly EXCEPT those created in zimbra using the AZ GMT-07.00 timezone, which show up as GMT with no adjustments.

Hopefully you guys already saw the update in bug 22808:

Bug 22808 - caldav and ical timezone problem on demo site

Apple iCal seems to not like years before 1971 in DTSTART lines of VTIMEZONE.
