Default Spell Checker with personal word list

Requested Feature- Using the Open Source Version. The spell check on the ZWC does not allow me to add a word to it database of word. Also the ZWC blacks my browser spell checker from working within the text boxes.

I believe there's an RFE in bugzilla for this, do a search and vote for it. What do you mean it 'blocks your browser spell checker'? I use FF 2.x and it doesn't cause any problems with the spell checker in that nor does it stop me adding words to it's dictionary. Please detail your browser and spell-checker and file a bug if necessary.

Thanks fro your reply. I will check bugzilla and vote for it. I am also using FF 2.X but with Google spell checker. When I right click the mouse which would usually give me the suggested spelling I get instead the format commands from Zimbra. What spell checker are you using a add-on?

On the FF Preferences/Advanced/General tab there's an option to 'Check my spelling as I type' - that's the only one I use.

I believe there is a bug created for Zimbra "blocking" the FF spell checker as well. If you are composing a message in HTML format and misspell a word FF will underline it. However, when you right-click on the misspelled word Zimbra kicks in and presents a text format context menu.

Actually, I just did some checking and it appears this "bug" is fixed in version 5.0.

Yes, it is - I'm using the Beta 1 of Release 5 on my own server.

Thanks, I will wait until 5.0 is deemed stable before I go to it but I am glad that it is fixed, given my challenges in writing e-mails without typos and mis-spells.
