Default RSS Folders

hi

i absolutely love the capability to have rss feeds recieved into my zimbra folders.
there are a few things i don't understand, or maybe they're not implemented yet.

1. how can i set or change the polling interval? i subscribed to the freshmeat rss feed, which is quite active. it would be nice if the feed was recieved about every 5 minutes or so.. i am currently always refreshing it manually

2. is there a option to enable the parsing of html in a newsfeed? i see all the html formatting of the newsfeed message as html code.

cheers
pascal

In the current beta, the server does not poll at all. It's up to you to refresh the feeds when you want them refreshed.

We haven't seen this before. (The HTML markup is displayed as proper HTML in all our test cases.) Can you point us at a feed that's exhibiting this behavior?

hi

are there any plans to have the server poll rss feeds in the future?

an example for a html feed can be found here:
http://freshmeat.net/backend/fm-releases-global.xml

actually this is a little embarassing right now, because i have just found out that not even emails are being processed. so i went to my settings and found out, that "View mail as HTML (when possible):" was turned off! i must have turned it off without wanting to ...
so i did some research to find out why i might have changed this setting without wanting to and i found out, that when i press the "restore defaults" button, it doesn't restore the defaults of the COS profile or those i have originally set as administrator for my user, but it restores just some settings taht don't have this option enabled and that use a polling time of 300 minutes (i have set it to 2 minutes in my cos profile and then user settings in the admin pane) ... so this might have been where i messed up these settings.
so i must say that i would expect the restore defaults button to set everything to the cos profile values... but maybe you think different about this.. (or maybe i did something wrong again, but i can't see a mistake now).

cheers
pascal

Default Intentions, yes. Timetable, no.

We do intend to add RSS feed polling in a future release. Exactly which release hasn't yet been decided, however.
