I have a very large contact group. When I add it to the address line (To: or CC

it expands the contact group and pushes the subject line and edit window down below the bottom of the window. No scroll bar appears so am unable to enter/edit email. This happens when editing in a detached window as well.

I suppose I could compose the email first then add the addressees but this seems kludgy. Solutions, workarounds?

What happens if you place the list on the Bcc line?

Same behavior but, yes, I can then turn off the bcc address line.

for me (using firefox) the 'to' and 'cc' boxes just start to scroll themselves
(just return and the occasional bit of random text ever few dozen lines)
I guess define 'large' and your browser version...

FF version 2.0.0.3, large list is greater than 500 addresses. Worse, my user's requirement is for greater than 1500.

I returned in the To: window as you said and the scrollbar appears on the To: field but I'm still prevented from putting the cursor in any field below it because they've been push below the edge of the browser window and there is no scroll bar on the window.

As an aside, the first time I returned in the To: field I got an "Out of RPC Cache" error dialog.

And the reason you don't make use of distribution lists or a listserv?

What version are you using? Also, can you provide a screen shot?

If you're using an older version that 4.5.5, then upgrade. If not, then screenshot.
