Links into Zimbra for Meeting Invites for mail-only client

I use Thunderbird for reading email from the Zimbra server. When I had Thunderbird connected to MS Exchange, I would see a link into Outlook Web Access for meeting requests. I could click on the link and (reluctantly) login into OWA to do calendar-related actions. In Zimbra, there is no such link, leaving me with no easy way that I can find to jump into the Zimbra mail interface via http/https link to act on calendar events.

When you accept a meeting invite, it should add it to your calendar. I assume that you're problem, right?

When you say meeting request, you're talking about a calendar event, and the problem is that in Exchange, to view it, you had to login to OWA. In Zimbra you get an invite, and you should be able to click "ACCEPT" or "DECLINE".

I want to be able to click on a link in the calendar event note *inside* Thunderbird or any other IMAP or POP capable mail client, and have it take me into the Zimbra Web client to act on it. I know that if I'm already in Zimbra that the accept/decline option is there. I use t-bird to read my mail.

I see this in Thunderbird in the message body for a calendar event:

When: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 11:00 AM-11:30 AM (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada).

I would like to see this this too-and will vote.
I never really paid attention to itip/imip requests (or if zimbra uses something else entirely I really don't know)
But I will say I had to open up gmail the other day, and was pleased to see it work very nicely (see pic for a request from a zimbra user to one of my gmail accounts)
