Looking for ZWC "cruise mode" productivity ZWC is beautiful, but using it as my primary client, I'm finding some of the interaction patterns frustratingly slow in practice. A lot of it comes down to wanting certain features of Pine's "cruise mode," which is designed to speed up the process of reading/deleting/filing a whole bunch of mail at once.
If I'm viewing inbox by thread, and there's only one message in the thread, why do I have to double-click or hit enter twice? Yes, inconsistency is bad, but it seems to me that if there is exactly one message in a thread, there's no reason for the intermediate view-one-thread view.
Especially if you're in view-by-message rather than view-by-thread mode, there should be an option to automatically move on to hte next unread, non-deleted message after deleting or filing the current message.
After reaching the bottom of a message, spacebar or tab should move on to the next unread message.
Option for delete-skips-deleted. In cruise mode, when you delete a message, you move on to the next unread message, unless the next message has already been deleted, in which case you hop over it.
Is it possible to view message source or drag-drop a message to another folder or tag while viewing an individual message? It might be, but it's not obvious. Having to back up to the thread or message list view just to view message source is annoying. |
