Default Removing attachmets in replies

Is there a way to remove attached files when replying and still keep the file attached to the original message?

i have a user that just received a pretty large attachment and doesnt want to keep sending it back and forth.

i appreciate all the help. as a new poster, is this the correct forum to be posting these questions in?

Thanks!

No worries. You're fine.

I don't quite understand that question

When you're replying to a message with an attachment, the attachment is displayed next to a check box in the reply. Checking it will send it again, and unchecking it will not send it again.

Hope that helps

awesome John, that is exactly the type of answer i was looking for.

sorry we're a bunch of noobs we just assumed that the file was still attached since it was there. i checked the box and looked for a "remove" button... and all we had to do was nothing.

I thought the same as wcmathews. I was pulling my hair out looking for a way to remove the attachment.

It's very confusing having that there.
