Default Editing the subject line

Hi guys, great product!

I just flipped an entire company away from Outlook and onto Zimbra.

A couple of users have asked if it is possible to edit the Subject line of a received email. They receive a lot of faxes through email and would like to be able to organize them.

Any ideas?

THANKS!

Hi, and welcome to the Zimbra Forums!

We're glad you like our product

Have you considered tags for organization? I can't think of a way to edit the subject line of a received e-mail. This may be a great enhancement request!

http://bugzilla.zimbra.com and file an enhancement request.

Thanks again!
john

thanks for your quick reply john.

this question was raised by the Users so they didnt have to Tag anymore. they would like to keep the emails in the main Inbox and not in the tag folder...

"no, there is not a way to edit the subject line" will work as an answer if that is where we are at. Just making sure i'm not missing anything.

i'll be sure to send in a suggestion.

There an enhancement request in bugzilla for this feature, search for it and vote on it.

I believe that the search functions should obviate the need for that feature but if you want it, vote.

thanks bill, ive tried searching the request out, but will have to dig through all of the matches later.

the search function in the email program is basically negated because their fax-to-emails come through with a bunch of random characters as the subject and not much in the body.

thanks for all the help guys!

Three choices if you use the words 'subject' & 'edit' for the search. It's not necessarily something we will do but you certainly add your comments to the RFE.
