Default Send message as "Urgent"

I'm still looking around but I can't seem to find it ... is there a way to mark a message as urgent (or change the priority) before sending it? I don't see anything in the compose window under options but that doesn't mean it isn't possible

Thanks!!

Lonny

Default It's an open enhancement request...

Please vote for bug 824 to let us know that it's a feature you'd like to see!

Vote registered. Our users will be unhappy if they can't flag every mundane question or request as urgent.

Is there any way to vote *against* a bug?

If something is urgent, say so in the subject line, or find a way to reduce the volume of your mail (RSS, Wikis) such that messages don't need to be marked "urgent" to be read. Look how many spammers flag their messages X-MSMail-Priority: High.

(Sorry. Feel free to ignore the curmudgeonly troll.)

As annoying as it can be, most users accustomed to any of the competing Enterprise mail packages are going to expect to have the ability to set priority. Come to think of it, return receipt requests need to be added as well.

Bugs to vote for:
824 Ability to set the priority (importance) of a mail message
7257 Support read receipts and delivery reports in webmail

Default What, No Priority Settings?

My company just recently purchased a Network License for Zimbra. This morning a customer asked how to set priorities. I *assumed* they were simply overlooking this basic functionality that has been in every mail client I can recall.

After looking around, I could not find how to set the flag either. So, I came here to read this!?

Can ANYONE speak to the plans to get this included ASAP!? From reading the bug reports, this has been logged as a "Bug" since 2005. In my mind this isn't a bug, but standard email functionality which is required by an email client. You may be for or against the use of marking messages as urgent, but that is an irrelevant arguement. I personally hate emails which have urgent flags set; however, I still recognize that most *business-users* expect this functionality in place.

It's actually marked as an Enhancement (or RFE) and not a bug. To answer your main point, the important information in the RFE is the targeted release and for this it's GunsNRoses which is the next but one major Release of Zimbra. My estimate (and that's all it is at the moment) is that it will be available very late this year or early next year. You can follow product development via the Product Portal.

You can also add your vote to that RFE and send a case to support and ask for that to be added as well, that will give it additional 'weight'.
