Remember Me

OK, simple question - but I've looked at the FAQs, docs and can't find the answer. How do you get "remember me on this computer" to work in the login screen? It doesn't work on IE, Firefox, in Windows or Linux, so there's got to be a setting somewhere to enable the feature? Maybe I'm just overlookig it?
