Default time limited one-time email-accounts (within the corporate email doamin)

Hello,

I know, it might sound like a spammers request..

One of our future ZCS customer does request the following feature(ZCS NetworkEdition)
(due to personality- and spam-protection) :

Some VIPs of that company do very often not like to use their personal/secret email-addresses,
instead they would like to be able to use a one-time email address that could be generated
automatically upon composing a new email and it would be even better, if in addition, the VIP
could type/suggest the desired address himself (of course ZCS should complain,
if the suggested emailaddress is already in use (in that corporate domain).
And a lifetime(e.g. some days or weeks) of such an email- address should be defineable as well.

Is that a good idea, or would you suggest a better approach?

Martin

He could use mail identities for any 'throw away' type of address and set them up himself. They're not time limited and they would have to be a valid domain on the current server but apart from that......? Would that do?

I don't know yet, if the customer will accept that approach...

Can a normal user (without admin rights) set up an email-account?

No, only an admin can set-up new email accounts. The admin can give these users an alais (or several) and then the users can use the identities feature to manage the mail themselves, filter it into folders, tag it etc.

Default Pls vote for Bugzilla 16685 (time limited one-time email-accounts for VIP)

Unfortunately they(VIP's) are not willing (or able) to set-up a
normal email-account themselves...

Pls vote for Bugzilla 16685 (time limited one-time email-accounts for VIP)

Thank you!
