Default Web Client - Can't Resize Subject Field

Using Zimbra 4.5.4 (OSS) the web client allows you to resize most of the columns (From, Folder, Size, Received, etc.), but not the Subject field. Even if you turn off "Show fragments" option the subject column remains very wide, with no ability to shrink it down. Is there a reason for this, or is this a bug? I searched Bugzilla, but didn't find anything.

Actually, this was done on purpose b/c all the other columns have a fixed width and the subject column fills up the remaining width.

You're right though, its a bug. You should be allowed to resize it.

As a work-around, you can "grow" any of the columns to the right of the subject column which will cause the subject column to take less width.

Of course, the widths aren't persisted. So the next time you login, they will be reset to the default widths :/

Actually, your explanation for the reason why you can't change the size of the "Subject" column makes perfect sense. The space in the browser window has to be taken up by something, so the way the "Subject" column resizes itself based on the width of the other columns seems fine to me. A user brought this "issue" to my attention, and I guess I didn't do enough testing before posting and creating the bug.

Thanks for the help.
