Default Internet Explorer 6

So am I to understand the most popular browser used on the Earth, IE 6 is not supported by Zimbra 4.5.3? I've read all the related posts in this forum to no avail. Everybody I have had test this with uses IE 6 of varying versions with no success.

Your understanding is incorrect.
A little bit more info on why it's not working would be helpful, other than just saying: It doesn't work.

They either never get to the Login Page. Get there without the graphics. Nobody has ever succsefully logged all the way into the web app client.

In particular I was referring to this thread:

Need Help Troubleshooting Web Client Issues

Most of the people that will access this site are at corporate sites where they can't (and aren't capable of) making browser tweaks, installing FF, IE 7, etc.

I just expected it to work. Product looks better and better every revision but unless somebody can help me tweak the Zimbra side it won't fit my needs right now.

Do you have any additions on your systems that may case this type of problem such as adblocker, BHO blockers, anti- spyware, firewall, email checkers or any pop-up blockers on IE or is IE set to use a proxy? Can you send me a test login and I'll see if I can get into your system with IE6 and see what it's like?

It is the same for everyone I have had try it among various locations, security configurations, etc. This a very clean, fresh install of Zimbra on a very clean, fresh install of CentOS 4.4 (I know not supported but not the issue here I wouldn't think).

I personally have no proxy (that I know of) and have limited all security options.

I will provide you a login account briefly.

ZImbra on CentOS4 works fine, I use it myself for my own server.

I've just done a login to that account and it works fine, slightly slow on my system as it's a VM but I'm in - send me a test message and I'll reply if you like. I have a clean(ish) copy of IE6 & XP with no firewall and no additions for IE. Do the users that have IE6 have it up to date, all service packs applied?

How much memory do you have on the server?

The server is old but it is what I had. P4 1.8GHz, 1GB of memory.

I really don't know how up to date everyone's IE is. I probably make a false assumption they would be up to date in a corporate environment.

I just remembered I have XP on an VM here too. I started it and it connected well enough too. It seems that the key is latest updates for IE6 as I updated XP while I was at it.

Guess, I owe an apology and hope I can encourage some Windows/IE updates.

Thank you very much for your help.

IIRC, it's required to be SP2 for IE6. Don't forget to remove the test account you created for me.
