Is it possible to subscribe to one's calendar within Sunbird, iCal, etc. and be able to edit it now in M3?

Subscribing works now, Roland talks about it in his blog post here (look for the section titled "ICS"):

Submitting your modified calendar (publishing) is an upcoming feature, but is not in yet.

I'm also interested in this. My boss has created a "share" that contains all of our group meetings. I am able to subscribe to my calendar from Apple iCal but I'm getting permission denied when trying to subscribe to his. This is the invitation I got from my boss:

The following share has been created:

Shared item: Engineering (appointment)
Owner: Mike Manager

Grantee: me@mycompany.com
Role: Manager
Allowed actions: View, Edit, Add, Remove, Accept, Decline

What URL can I use to add this calendar, assuming Mike Manager's Zimbra name is mmanager?

You should be able to access it just the same:

Subscribing works great but the Share dialog box needs to be extended in some way so to support sharing the .ics files with non-Zimbra users (or just to allow a non-technical user to setup the shared calendars in their client-side application). I have no doubt this is coming very soon now that the underlying functionality is stable.

Default Updating the Calendar via REST

Is it possible to update an existing Calendar - like add an appointment using REST?

Looked at the blog but it says:

Code:
curl -u schemers:password \
  --data-binary @/tmp/new.ics \
  https://server/service/home/schemers/calendar?fmt=ics
Won't this entirely replace the existing Calendar?

Thanks John

Not officially. Not directly.

You cannot directly update from any client. Except ... there is a thread in "Users" forum about some firefox plugin... I think ReminderFox or something ... you might want to check that out.

One way to update / replace the calendar is mentioned above. (using 'curl')

But the behaviour with curl, for me, has been weird. It is weird because sometimes it updates and sometimes it replaces the existing calendar.

I don't know what is the expected normal behaviour? (I have asked this question yesterday on the forums).
