Sort by size

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a way that I can help my users control the size of their inbox and stay below their quota.

Is there a way to sort mail by size, or see how much space each folder is taking up?

I can see the size of e-mails in the reading pane view, but I would like to see it when I'm viewing all contents of a folder.

It would also be nice to be able to see which folders are holding the most data.

Our users occasionally ask why they can't sort by message size the the ZCS web client. We direct them to bugzilla and tell them to vote.

Last night, I noticed my son's yahoo mail (isn't this Zimbra?) lets him sort by message size. I thought yahoo was using a re-branded version of Zimbra. Am I wrong?

This is quite a surprise. Even Yahoo email can sort by size. Why not the more advanced Zimbra?

btw, it's interesting to note that Bug 1108 got 151 votes and still not enough to get implemented, while Bug 13431 got fixed with only 5 votes. I hope my vote to 152 helps....

Can a Zimbra employee comment on the sort by size feature and if/when we'll see it implemented? Directing us to BugZilla to vote is nice and all but obviously what gets implemented is impacted by other factors than the vote (as noted in the post above by bhwong). Not being able to sort by size makes it impossible to quickly locate e-mails which are impacting the quota.

We just upgraded from 5.0.18 to 6.0.4 and we have sort-by-size now.

As an alternative, trying searching for "size:>1m" "size:>5m" or some other number that seems reasonable.
