Default Filters are not applied to mails from external accounts (from POP)

Hi,

My users have some external POP3 accounts set up to retrieve external mails. They have some filters set up but they are only applied to mails exchanged between Zimbra accounts (internal accounts). Mails from external accounts are always delivered to the Inbox, and never dispatched according to the filters .... Is it a functionality that doesn't exist or a misconfiguration?

They connect to Zimbra using WebUI or IMAP.

Use the search function of the forum : POP3 & filter (move into folder)

Hi,

I found this thread earlier but I'm not sure it answers what I'm trying to do. The thread finished on a link to bugzilla ... to make contacts accessible from Thunderbird (which I would find neat too).
And, if the thread starts with a description of my problem, it then slides to something completely different.

Any additional help would be great.

I was looking for this exact feature myself. I had hoped I could use Zimbra as an e-mail aggregator (basically like a fat client allows across multiple e-mail accounts). It has the POP3 features which are great but having to go manually file stuff in other folders is a pain. Thanks for the link to the bugzilla entry, I added my vote.
