Away Message Filtering

I probably already know the answer, but I will ask anyhow.

Is there a way to specify certain from addresses to not get away messages? I have ~2000 mailing list emails per day that I do not want to send an away message. I know that my client will do it, but I do not see anywhere in the interface to set it.
