Default Is it possible accept an appointment invitation in iCal

I'm evaluating Zimbra and another issue I've come upon is the possibility of accepting invitations in iCal. I've set up the connector and it works fine for receiving all the items but if someone invites me to a meeting, I can't seem to accept the invitation in iCal.

Anyone know a way around this or is it something that could be implemented in the future??

I don't think so.
Appointment invitations are done through outlook or the zcs webclient.
So, if you were checking your e-mail, and accepted an invitation, it would be added to your calendar, thus you would see it in your iCal reader.

Appointments come through to iCal ok (without the need to accept in web client). Just can't accept or decline. I think they're actually coming up in the web client as tentative.

Would be nice to have the option to accept/decline in iCal.

Oh boy, I don't know if the ical architecture can support that.
Perhaps the engineers could do something with isync. I dunno.

It wouldn't hurt to fill out an enhancement request in the bugzilla and ask.

Default have a look at YAI

There's a little app named You Are Invited. It translates Outlook Invites for iCal, and works great. Check versiontracker.
But the other way seems to be more difficult. Does anyone know how to handle iCal invites in Outlook?

Default outlook 2003 cannot accept lightning appointments

This is a bug with outlook

You need to upgrade to SP3 or use Outlook 2007

I found the same issue using Thunderbird 2.00.14 and Lighting 0.8

see bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377761 coment No 99
