Shortcut keys stopped working in ZCS 4.5 Network Ed.

Hi Guys

Just upgraded to ZCS 4.5 Network Edition and it was another seamless upgrade. Well done to the engineers!

We just noticed that all the shortcut keys have stopped working. Is this a disabled preference somewhere?

Any help appreciated!

Additional: I checked the Help pages and it states that Shortcut Keys should be in the Options. But it aint' there!

ZWC keyboard shortcut keys

Shortcut keys can be used to navigate in the Zimbra Web Client (ZWC).The following shortcut key categories are defined. Go to your Options>Shortcut>Shortcut list to see the list of shortcut keys.

I had the same problem. On a hunch I checked the Admin controls and found a Preference for keyboard shortcuts. The one on my account was unchecked, and when I checked it the "Revert to COS" button appeared. I headed over to the COS panel and found that only some of our COS's had that preference checked.

I'm not sure why I had it prior to the upgrade. Could be that the COS defaults changed, or that the setting itself is a new feature. Anyway, I'll bet that is your problem. I just checked it off on all the COS's and the problem was fixed.

Also, since I have no better venue to say this in, I have to add that Zimbra 4.5 is a very nice release! My company has recently implemented a few other vendor solutions of a similar scope and Zimbra has been the least trouble, the most bug-free, the most complete, the most rapidly-developing and has had the most active community and most responsive company behind it. Thank you guys for taking the time and effort to make a great product and keep it that way!

You were right! One small checkbox in the COS and I missed it. Re-enabled it and shortcut keys goodness is back!

FYI..

Basically, if you are in a COS other than 'default', with the 4.5 upgrade, the shortcuts were disabled. This happened across the board for all 4.5 upgrades I did.

The 'default' COS always had shortcuts enabled.
