I've got a user with the same problem as well, the AJAX version of Zimbra won't load on IE10 running on Windows 8. We're currently running ZCS 7.1.4 network edition. Unsure whether it's 32 or 64 bit off hand, if that comes into play let me know and I'll provide the additional info.

    Theory regarding the cause:
Looking at the page source, I'm seeing comment blocks where Zimbra is evaluating the browser version, this leads me to assume that there are conditional statements within the interface to address browser differences (which makes a lot of sense given how funky IE has worked in the past)

What might be a problem is the fact that these checks stop after IE7. IE7 does not play well with HTML5 and the Open Web Platform, and I know developers had to creative at times to retain functionality across multiple browsers. With IE10 being more aligned with the direction of the web, it's possible that these creative fixes are now broken in IE10.

I haven't had an opportunity to really play around with IE10 personally, but I've done an extensive amount of work with HTML5 as of late and there's been promotion by Microsoft regarding Windows 8 and IE10's support of the newer web technologies. Any other web heads who also happen to be a Zimbra admin want to chime in their opinions? I'm more of a mac guy these days, someone who lives and breathes on the Windows platform may be able to provide more insight.

The issue appears to be back from what I can tell as I posted some info to the bug report and awaiting a reply. Works in all other browsers including older IE versions. Just not 10. I remember seeing it work when I finally got around to testing Windows 8, but I did upgrade to the latest patch recently. Wondering if the latest patch to 7.2.2 is the issue... Waiting to hear more. I do upgrade at each 7.x version that comes out shortly after each upgrade is issued. I did not upgrade from 7.2.2 to patch 1 then patch 2 though. I went straight from 7.2.2 to patch 2 which according to the release notes included patch 1.

I don't have any problems using IE 10 on Windows 7 nor on a clean install of Windows 8 Pro against a ZCS 8.0.4 server.

Is there a fix for this in Zimbra 7.x or do we have to upgrade to 8 ? I dont see a definative statement where/when this issue is resolved.

Just trying to figure out what action I need to take

    Thx!

The bug report mentioned earlier states that it was fixed in ZCS 7.2.2 & 8.0.3 - the current 7 series ZCS is 7.2.4, you can try that but I don't currently have an installed version of that release.

My advice would be to go to the current release (preferably 8.0.4) if you can but if you don't want to do that you can try debugging what's happening on your machine and what may be causing the problem. I believe that the ZCS Ajax UI will set IE10 into IE9 compatible mode, make sure you'rs is set to that and I'd also check if there's any anti-virus or ant-malware software that may be causing the problems. FWIW, on all my Windows machines I use the Comodo firewall and A/V software and have never had any problems caused by that.
    Regards

Ok- I have upgraded my test server to 7.2.4 and IE10 works. Gonna upgrade my production server next.
