Thumbs up It would be nice if...

When you double-clicked a message in a list it opened in a new window.

The "Send and Add" button appeared in windows external to the main Zimbra client (on a separate reply or forward window).

You could highlight an email signature and create a new contact.

Just a few enhancements I would love to see. Love the product.

While I'm wishing, a summary page similar to the Outlook Today that shows new messages, my calendar appointments for today, etc all in one view would be very nice.

That's definitely already been requested -- see enhancement request 1058.

Think that's a new request. Please file it in bugzilla!

You can already right-click on an email address to create a new contact. Do you need more than that? If so, please think through what you'd like to see and file a new enhancement request in bugzilla.

Thanks for your response and the info.

As far as adding the contact from the email signature, I was thinking something more along the lines of what CardScan will allow you to do by highlighting the entire contact info and then dragging it in where it will populate all the contact fields instead of just the email or phone.

That sounds like a reasonable enhancement (don't know how it's gonna be done though).
File it and see what the developers say.

One thing i've noticed when first logging into zimbra is that the mini calendar does not show all your appointments.

You have to first click on the calendar tab and then the mini calendar gets updated.

I suppose this means the calendar doesn't get loaded when your viewing email.

However, the whole point of the mini calendar is to be able to view appointments at a glance.

So having a nice summary window, like "Today", would be great when you first login.

If this is already in Zimbra, I'm sorry, but I couldn't find any reference...

If you are composing e-mail and are in ASCII mode in the editor, a right-click gets you the normal cut/copy/paste/etc dropdown.

But if you are in HTML, you get the left/right/center/table menu and have to go to the browser edit drop down or use keys in normal mode, and are out-of-luck or have to use keys if you are in separate-compose/edit-window mode.

Is there a way to be in the HTML mode in compose/edit and have the normal cut/copy/paste/etc drop down on right click???

    Thanks, happy hols,

    Steve

Could you please file an enhancement request? This has come up in a few places and it would be great to get a crisp requirement written.

I'll be happy to, but I admit to being a n00b in these forums. Do I post that in Bugzilla? (if not, where?).

Thanks! (and thanks for a great mail/collaboration server that frees me from Exchange and is better as well! :-)

BTW, with some digging, reading and a little experimentation, our server is running on Fedora Core 6!

Yes. Anyone can create an account in Bugzilla and file it as enhancement. You should also vote for it once you have filed it.
