Returning to last read message when switching between folders

When switching between folders, the user cannot return to last read message of the folder they left. All other e-mail clients do this. Why is it a problem for Zimbra developers? I would like to know the technical issue here and when it can be resolved. It seems so obvious that the platform should have this simple and intuitive feature that there must be some reason why it is not possible inside Zimbra's technology platform.
