What is it you want to 'switch' it to? Have you tried reading the documentation or using the View button (or even searched the forums)?

Default Me Too!

I'd like to see this too! Take a look at the snapshot I provided. Very clean look at your inbox - sender, subject, then date! All on one line. This is Outlook. In my case I am more concerned with the sender than the subject. This view (Outlook) allows me to scan the sender column very quickly.

YES!!

It is more important for me to see the SENDER first then SUBJECT. I can't easily scan through to find what I'm looking for. I find that this really holds me back and makes correspondence much slower.

Please fix it!

You can display messages in the way you desire (single line per message, showing From: , Subject:, Date: ). And you can do so both in Message view and in Conversation view.

However, in order to do so, you need to turn OFF the right-hand reading pane. You can instead use the bottom reading pane, or turn the reading pane off entirely. (To do so, select 'view' from the menu bar.)

You can also right-click the column headers (tag, subject etc...) and choose which columns to display.

With the right-hand reading pane ON, you can't change the columns shown, nor the order - because of the compactness needed.

I agree that the current view is not ideal.

If you wish to change or offer options with the right reading pane on, you should file a new bug, and vote for it.

You can do this at Bugzilla Main Page - Zimbra and put a link to it here so other users can vote for it, or comment on it. (Search first to check there isn't already a bug for this!)

Smile Wow - How to find a similar bug post?

It's not trivial! Having to view all posts that match, say "reading pane", is tedious. What happens instead if one submits a similar post? Will they still honor it?

I was aware that I could swtich the reading pane to the bottom of the screen (which I did in order to get an Outlook like view). But a new problem arises which is the web client's inability to maintain window/column sizes from one instance to another. I always have to resize the "from" column from its default small width, and also resize the reading pane. Guess I should submit a bug on those, unless there is one already!
