Default Managing filters or other ways to sort mail from your inbox?

I'm a bit frustrated. For over a year my company has used Zimbra as our main email platform. I use Zimbra in both desktop form and browser for as a remote employee and on average I receive 150-250 emails per day, of which 15-20 need my personal attention. To help manage emails better (I've been missing some important replies) I've tried setting up filters for mail delivered in bulk from one address (updates on database changes) and forward it to a separate folder. I've used both the mail address and the title of each email (which all share the same heading). Each time after I apply the filter the mail continues to come to my inbox.

Any advice?

Not really without some description of what the filters are and what the email contains and why you think the filters aren't working. You can start by posting the version of Zimbra that you're using followed by the headers of an email that didn't get caught and finally the exact filter that you're using.

If you're not the Administrator of your Zimbra server have you asked them (or your helpdesk) for help with your question? It might be easier than posting possibly confidential information in these forums.
