Question Search with wildcard ?...

Hello all,

i just try to find mails by subject.

Exemple mail subject is:
"This is my W-00987 order for you."

I want to find all mail containing "987" in the subject.

Try with:
1/
Code:
subject:*987
no return

2/
Code:
subject:W-*
return many entries, no performant search.

3/
Code:
subject:*987*
no return

Why when we use the wildcard first, the search return nothing?

I have read this before to post here:

Any idea for me please? Many thanks and best regards.

thx

Have a read of this document (or search the forums for further information): Zimbra Web Client Search Tips - Zimbra :: Wiki

In future don't post messages in the forums in large text, the normal forum font is quite sufficient for us to be able read it.

Thank you.
Yes i have read this document before to post my question.
And as describe, the * joker don't work as desired.

when the * is after the word, it's ok, but if * is before the word, nothing was found.
