Default Zimbra 7 & Shared Mail Behaviour

While forwarding / replying a mail from Shared Mail Folder & When attaching an additional document , user gets an error for permission denied.

Is there any zmprov setting to enable the same..? As in earlier versions this was not the case.I mean such attachment was allowed.

Ok. It has been made to work with a temp fix. I had to share te draft folder
of the Original User. Not Sure this is the way to go about. But mostly it seems to be a Bug.

If you think you've found a bug, please file it in Bugzilla Main Page - Zimbra

Include the bug number here. Thanks.

I have been reported the same problem. Haven't found a bug in bugzilla. Is there one for the problem?
Is there a solution?

I would like to replicate this situation and require some additional information to produce the same environment.

- What are you sharing permissions?
- What is the document type? ie .pdf standard text, etc
- Size of the document?

Would like to test this against my Zimbra service.

Best Regards,

Thanks for your quick answer.

Here are the informations that you asked for:
  • the user has admin-permissions for the shared folder
  • the problem occured undependend to an attachment also for mails without files attachment

In bugzilla where I have reported the problem, someone asked if the folders where shared before the upgrade to 7.x. The answer is yes. I will try to delete the share and share it again. Maybe this solved the problem.

Best regards
Steffen

Understood, I have set up two accounts in hopes to replicate this issue as we have some users still on the older service.

Keep us posted.

Best Regards,

Ok, I have tested to delete the share and share it again (with manager-rights) but no difference: When I click on "send" I get the error message. The user told me, that it works when she moves the mail to the drafts-folder and send it from there.

This is Bug 66547 – Forwarding mails from shared folders, correct?
