Unhappy bug or wanted feature : unread alert on subfolder doesn't run

hi !

i just test the Zimbra NE 6.10 and there is still the same bug in my 6.03.

i have a subfolder in my inbox.
there are any unread message inside my subfolder.

i don't understand why the parent folder doesn't display (1) to let me know that i have unread message inside it !
if my tree folder branch is closed, i do not know there are any unread messages !
this begins very boring to have and manage constantly open branch of many subfolders like inbox/year/project/q1/

The second bug (or wanted feature) is that i can not select main branch (inbox folder) and have the option to mark all mails read ! this option is always disabled on main branch or parent folder. i guess this option is enabled only if (1) unread mail are detected...so it is linked to my first bug.

so, anybody have explication of that wanted feature or it is a real bug ?

thanks

Is there a bug report (or RFE) for it?

Why don't you use the initial search of 'in:inbox or is:unread', that will show them all in your Inbox. You could even save a search just to list unread mail.

Is there also a bug report (or RFE) for this?

1/
i didn't find a bugzilla item about my problem. as it is so obious, i thought it wasn't a bug but a wanted feature (am i right ?)

2/ i tried saved/recorded search feature, but it shows me all the email and not its branch (subfolder property). All is in vrac. Even when i check an unread email, the branch still unopened and unselected.

3/ i guess neither no.

By the way, Outlook does this feature, that why i use to use it ^^ very userful when you manage many projects with many peoples by different moments.
The worst issue is now (cause this bug), you can't afford yoursel to put a autofilter rules on your inbox (to move email in subfolder) cause you'll never see the items if you don't think to check ALL the subfolders...

am i really the one and lone person to need this ?

about the saved filter searches : moreover :
the saved name of your search does not include a (X) statement after its name to tell you how many item there are into it ! so i have to check it every time

secondly, the search zone folder (where your searches are savend) is in the very bottom, that should be on top cause each time you have to scroll down...
