Default Demo Broken And Help Needed Please.

Hi everyone,

Firstly, the Demo appears to have a glitch in it. Just tried to create a new demo account and when it gets to the stage where you have to input the characters to avoid spam, no matter how many times you input the correct characters, won't let you past that stage. Tried a few times but same result.

So, as I can't get access, I'm hoping that I can receive some advice from the experienced people on here. after 4 days of searching the t'interweb, I have finally landed here on the Zimbra Forums. Been a long 4 days to say the least!

I run a photography business comprised of 6 photographers. I need to be able to create an online calendar that all 6 photographers can have access to. They need to be able to view and make changes to a central bookings calendar, they also need to be able to create a seperate calendar for themselves showing their own availablity for any given date. I need to be able to also view that calendar.

All the calendars need to be able to be synched with their own preferred mobile device, IPhone, HTC, Blackberry etc etc and they must be able to make changes whilst on the road via their devices to the calendars.

The calendars have to be locked from public viewing and a password is required to access it and I have Admin privileges to add people to, or remove them from the calendar.

The calendar has to be able to be accessed from web browsers too.

I also want to be able to add clients to the "service" where they can access such things as contracts, statements etc etc etc but they can not see the calendar.

Zimbra seems to do all of these things and more and looks just perfect!

I'm hoping that someone can confirm that Zimbra will do all these things and more importantly advise on options.

There seems to be a couple of versions of Zimbra, only the network edition seems to fulfill all of the criteria. Is this correct?

I am looking at self hosting and hosted options but am leaning towards the hosted as I simply do not have the technical knowledge to be able to install and more importantly maintain it.

Am I right in assuming that if I decide to self host, I will need a dedicated machine, on a fixed IP address, switched on 24/7 for a self hosting package to work correctly?

Appreciate any help and advice and apologise in advance if I have placd this in the wrong section.

Mark

It's working for me, do you have Javascript enabled in your browser (or anything that might be blocking the site)?

Yes, you would need the NE version for the features you require. Why not have a look at one of the hosting partners and speak to them for further information about your requirements.

Yes, that's correct.

Thanks Bill,

Just tried again to create the test account and still no joy. Tried using Internet Explorer and Firefox. Then jumped onto the iPhone via our wifi network, no joy and then used the iPhone on 3G, still no joy.

Can't get past the character stage even though I'm inputting the correct characters.
